Carol Canhisares

Carol Canhisares is a Brazilian-American actress based in Barcelona, Spain. After returning to the industry in 2022, she has been steadily building a diverse body of work across film, television, and theatre.

Her recent screen credits include the lead role in the short film What if?, directed by Krishna Jaipuriya, Atresplayer TV series El gran salto (Ep 5), directed by Roger Guall and the short films Edges (2023), directed by Júlia Faria and Giulia Levy, featured in six festivals including the Evolution Mallorca, RIFF, and Cornwall Film Festivals.

On stage, she co-wrote and performs in Sex Therapy, a sharp and heartfelt comedy about relationships and intimacy, with versions in both Spanish and English.

Fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish, and Catalan, Carol is known for bringing a vibrant, collaborative energy to every project and for being a true team player on both set and stage.

When she’s not acting, she continues to explore creativity through writing. Her debut book, The Quantum Physics Diet: How to Achieve and Maintain the Body (and the Life) of Your Dreams, blends science, self-awareness, and transformation, reflecting her curiosity about the intersection between art and personal growth.
